School students take effort to create a Drug-Free Tripura

Agartala May 06: In a bid to combat drug addiction and create a healthier society, various organizations in Tripura are stepping up their efforts.
The state government, along with the chief minister Dr Manik Saha has called for a drug-free Tripura, urging citizens to break free from the grip of intoxicants.
As a part of this initiative, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit students from Ramnagar Bani Vidyapith School in Agartala took action on Monday. They distributed informative leaflets in the Border Gol Chakkar area, educating people about the detrimental effects of drug addiction.
The campaign aims to raise awareness and encourage individuals, especially the youths to make informed choices, ultimately contributing to a drug-free Tripura, said one of the teachers’ while talking with the reporters.
He added, “The collective efforts of various organizations including educational institutions and concerned citizens are crucial in addressing the pressing issue. By spreading awareness and promoting a drug-free lifestyle, Tripura can pave the way for a healthier and brighter future”.
The students further urged all to join hands in this noble endeavor to build a better, addiction- free society.
