Sonamura, Jan 1: Despite the push for Digital India, server problems have crippled operations at the Sonamura Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s (SDM) office. Nearly 10 thousands Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificates (PRTC) remained pending due to technical issues.

The applicants raised concerns over the delays and harassment while accessing services. 

Subdivisional Magistrate M.K. Chakma acknowledged the issue and cited server problems but assured that urgent cases are being addressed. 

He emphasized that PRTCs, being vital documents, require thorough verification. According to sources, around 10 thousand applications from 2017 to 2024 remained stuck due to technical and procedural challenges.
