Agartala July 08: Student Federation of India (SFI), Tripura Unit organized a blood donation camp on Friday in memory of Late Arun Deb. Veteran CPI-M leader Pabitra Kar remained present on the occasion. Detailing the story of Late Arun Ded, Pabita Kar said, “An atmosphere of fear was created during the tribal self-governing district council elections in 1990 during the tenure of coalition government in the state where common people were barred from casting votes. In that situation Arun took the responsibility to stay at the polling station where he was killed by miscreants. That naked killing has become history in the state. Later that government was forced to leave power after three years who killed Arun”.

Pabitra Kar added under the BJP-IPFT led coalition government the state of Tripura is once again witnessing this sort of terrorism.

Laying wreath on the portrait of late Arun Dev, Pabitra Kar later greeted the blood donors.

SFI state secretary Sandeepan Dev and others also remained present on the occasion. Around 20 blood donors donated blood at the camp.
