Smooth idol immersion begins amidst tight security

Udaipur, Oct 14: The process of idol immersion began on Monday at the Dashmi Ghat situated at the Loknath Ashram in Udaipur. Gomati District Superintendent of Police, Namit Pathak, Additional Superintendent of Police, Souvik Dey, and Sub-Divisional Police Officer Ajay Debbarma were present to oversee the entire immersion process on Monday.
To facilitate the idol immersion process, 23 Udaipur Municipality employees, 25 Disaster Management, TSR, police personnel, and administrative officials were present at the Dashmi Ghat.
Namit Pathak said that the Dashmi Ghat had been newly equipped with a crane for the immersion process. All necessary arrangements, including lighting, had been made. Approximately 23 municipal employees, sanitation workers, officials, TSR, and police personnel were involved in the immersion process.
Pathak further stated that puja organizers would not be allowed to enter the Dashmi Ghat with sound systems. They were only required to bring the idols to the Dashmi Ghat for immersion. The Udaipur Municipality would handle all other arrangements.
