Agartala, May 23: Former captain of Indian cricket team Sourav Ganguly is likely to become the brand ambassador of Tripura Tourism.

Minister for Tripura Tourism Sushanta Chowdhury on Tuesday met Dada at the latter's residence in Kolkata with this proposal and held discussions.

According to Chowdhury, there is a need of a brand ambassador like Sourav Ganguly for the promotion of tourism sector.

In a social media post, Chowdhury mentioned that the people of Tripura would soon experience the positive outcome of the discussion with Ganguly.

During his meeting with the former skipper of Indian cricket team, the Tourism minister was accompanied by secretary Uttam Kumar Chakma and director Tapan Kumar Das.

Meanwhile, Chowdhury after taking charge as the Tourism minister has been taking various initiatives to strengthening the Tourism sector.
