Speaker lays foundation stone of developmental projects in Dharmanagar

Dharmanagar March 09: Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly and Dharmanagar MLA Biswa Bandhu Sen on Saturday laid the foundation stone for construction of modern market complex near Rana Dighi in North Tripura’s Dharmanagar.
He also laid the foundation stone for setting up of electric furnaces at Dharmanagar Crematorium on the same day.
Addressing the program, the Speaker said that a developmental wave is flowing in the entire state and North Tripura’s Dharmanagar has also been blessed with the same.
A total of Rs 3.2 crores will be spent for building the market stall while the electric furnace in Dharmanagar Crematorium will be installed at a cost of Rs 9.7 lakh, he said.
Castigating the previous Left-led government in the state, MLA Biswa Bandhu Sen said, “Earlier people had to come down on roads to protest for every small necessity but with the Modi-led BJP government in power in both state and Centre, people do not need to protest any more. All necessary facilities are reaching their doorstep”.
Dharmanagar Municipal Council Chairman Pradyut De Sarkar, Vice Chairman Manju Rani Nath, Municipal Council’s Chief Executive Officer Shyamjoy Jamatia among others remained present at the program.
