Agartala, Fab 01: Unemployed youths, who qualified Selection test for Graduate Teacher (STGT) in September, 2022, yet again hit the streets in Agartala demanding early completion of recruitment process.
They gathered in front of Shiksha Bhawan in Agartala on Thursday.
According to the STGT qualified youths, despite multiple appeals to the concerned authorities for the completion of the recruitment process, no significant steps have been taken so far.
Pointing out the teacher shortage at the secondary level, the STGT representatives highlighted that only 612 teachers have been recruited in the last five years.
Expressing concern over the delay in the recruitment process, the STGT candidates urged for the completion of the recruitment of qualified candidates before the ensuing Lok Sabha polls.
In this context, they submitted a memorandum to the Director of Secondary Education, N. C. Sharma.
