Dharmanagar, Dec 26: Two individuals were arrested for pelting stones at the Tripura Sundari Express near Nadiapur station on December 25. 

In the incident, which took place on Wednesday evening, a coach window was damaged but no injuries were reported.

The accused, identified as Dibakar Sinha (27) of East Hurua and Bhaskar Banerjee (27) of Rajbari Mandabpara, were nabbed near the tracks by RPF personnel. 

During the preliminary investigation, the detainees admitted that they planted stones in a moment of mischief. 

Following verification, they were taken into custody and a case was registered under Sections 154 and 147 of the Railway Act.
