Agartala Dec 26: The state government remains steadfast in its commitment to achieving self-sufficiency in the production of milk, meat, and eggs. To this end, Minister Sudhangshu Das has been conducting review meetings every three months to assess progress and address challenges.
On Thursday, a district-based review meeting was held at the West Tripura District Magistrate's office, chaired by the ARDD and Fisheries Minister.
The meeting was attended by several key figures, including MLA Mina Rani Sarkar, MLA Ratan Chakraborty, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, officials from the Fisheries Department, the Animal Resources Development Department, and the SC Welfare Department.
During his address to the media, Minister Das highlighted the purpose of the meeting, which was to review the work of the Fisheries Department, Animal Resources Development Department, and SC Welfare Department over the past three months.
“The primary objective was to evaluate the extent to which the targets set for the 2024-25 financial year have been met”, he said.
The minister emphasized the importance of increasing the production of fish, meat, eggs, and milk in the state. He noted that the meeting also focused on assessing the effectiveness of the SC Welfare Department's projects in reaching the intended beneficiaries.
He instructed the department's staff to prioritize strategies for boosting production in the future.
