Agartala, June 30: Congress organizes procession to thank the voters of Biterbon area for ensuring Sudip Roy Barman’s victory from 6- Agartala assembly constituency. Though the ruling BJP won in three assembly constituencies during the recent by-elections amid four seats, it did not see a victory in the much crucial 6 Agartala assembly constituency. In this constituency, the BJP candidate lost by a huge margin to Congress candidate Sudip Roy Barman. The Congress is happy with the victory in the center of Agartala. MLA Sudip Roy Barman took out the procession expressing his gratitude to the voters for their courage in voting during the polls. The Congress did not organize any victory procession on Thursday, but organized a “thank you” rally. The procession marched around the Biterbon area on that day. The local people approached the MLA and especially the elders embraced and blessed him. Sudip, while answering the questions of the reporters, urged upon the Congress workers and supporters, "Come down to the ground with courage. Set goals. Democracy must be restored”. He said the BJP would be ousted in 2023 assembly elections.
