Belonia, July 07: A suspected Bangladeshi woman has been detained from Amjadnagar area of Belonia in South Tripura district.

Belonia police detained the woman- Shimul Akhtar from the house of Doli Akhtar and took her to the police station for interrogation. During preliminary interrogation, police came to name- Suman Miah in this connection.

The woman informed the police that she is from Bangaon of West Bengal. But as per the documents produced by the woman, the address is of Delhi and Punjab. A Bangladesh Gramin SIM card is also with her.

She also informed the police that the purpose of her visit to Belonia is visiting a cardiologist. Police are looking into various aspects of the case and trying to reveal her original identity.
