Taking the Tourism Industry to new heights is our prime objective; says Tourism Minister

Agartala Feb 12: With various ambitious development projects underway, the transformation of Tourism Sector of Tripura has seen drastic changes in recent years, says Minister Sushanta Choudhury.
With an aim to accelerate the revival of tourism industry, the State Tourism Minister Sushanta Choudhury presided over the 37th Board of Directors meeting of “Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Limited” at Gitanjali State Guest House, Agartala on Monday.
Addressing the program as he took many important decisions, Choudhury said, “We all have one objective, and that is to develop the tourism sector of Tripura. It is our goal to take the state of Tripura and its attractive tourist places to the people across the globe”.
“Employment, livelihood all are related to the development of this industry”, he added.
As he held crucial discussions over the various ongoing projects, extent of completions of targets and future plans, the minister directed the officials to adopt special strategies in coordination with various departments for attracting tourists.
The day’s meeting was attended by the board members including Secretary Home Department Dr Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Finance Secretary Apurba Roy, Forest Department PCCF (APR) Rabindra Kumar Shyamal, chief wildlife warden Praveen L Agarwal, Secretary Tourism Department Uttam Kumar Chakma, Director Tourism Department Tapan Kumar Das, among others.
