Agartala Jul 03: The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) on Wednesday announced to conduct “Bachar Bachao” (Save-a-Year) exams for secondary and Higher Secondary students from the last week of July.
Addressing the press on Wednesday, TBSE president Dhananjoy Gan Choudhury revealed that a total of 3,199 secondary students and 4,236 higher secondary students, all conducted by the Tripura Board of Madhya Shiksha Parshad, will sit for the Bachar Bachao exams.
He said, “Students planning to appear for the exams must submit their application forms to their respective schools between July 8 and 11. Also, the school authorities are required to submit the students’ application forms to the Tripura Madhya Shiksha Parshad office between July 12 and 15”.
Choudhury said that after the announcement of this year’s secondary and higher secondary final exam results, 2,042 students applied for revaluation.
Among them, 747 students saw changes in their results, with 21 moving from fail to pass.
In the higher secondary category, 1,385 students applied for revaluation, resulting in changes for 510 students, but no one moved from fail to pass.
The overall pass rate for secondary students stands at 87.59 percent, while for higher secondary students, it is 79.27 percent.
The merit list for both secondary and higher secondary remains unchanged after re-evaluation, he said.
