Agartala July 03: Laxmilunga tea garden was sealed under the leadership of Mohanpur sub-divisional magistrate on Sunday. The administrative authorities informed from now on the state government will manage the garden and asked the garden manager to move his office elsewhere. Laxmilunga tea garden manager Alok Sharma alleged Bamutia MLA Krishnadhan Das, Mohanpur sub-divisional magistrate Subhash Chandra Saha threatened the garden authorities and sealed the tea garden. “Although a case is pending in the court between the Laxmilunga Tea Garden Authority DS group and the state government, the Mohanpur sub-divisional magistrate has declared the garden as government land and sealed the garden”, he added.

However, on contacting the garden authorities, the Chairman of Tea Development Corporation Board, informed that the garden was not made public and is still in the hands of DS GROUP.  A situation of intense anger lies among the garden workers over the situation.
