Agartala Nov 20: “Recruit all 361 TET-2022 qualified Candidates”, raising this demand, job aspirants once again placed deputation to the Director, TRBT at Shiksha Bhavan here on Monday.
Talking to the reporters in this context, one of the job aspirants said, “We qualified TET exams last year but since then no recruitment drive has been initiated by the state education department”.
“Many schools across the state are reeling through acute crisis of teachers. In few places retired teachers are taking classes. Such a scenario is not at all healthy for the students and teaching and learning process”, he said.
Another aspirant said, “Earlier the authorities used cite an excuse of unavailability of suitable candidates, but today many of us are sitting jobless despite having necessary qualifications and also qualified the examination”.
The agitators added, a total of 361 candidates (194 TET-1 and 167 TET-2) qualified examination in the year 2022.
However, instead of large number of vacant posts, recruitments are put on hold, they said.
The job aspirants demanded the chief minister who also holds the education portfolio to initiate the recruitment drive at earliest.
