Agartala Jan 13: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Friday inaugurated the new ‘Eye Operation Theatre’ in Tripura Medical College and Hospital, Hapania.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said, “Earlier too eye-operations could be conducted here but now the working process will be more smooth as the Eye Department has been separated from the ENT Department”.

The chief minister further pressed for making the new Eye-Operation Theatre as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ so that people of neighboring countries like Bangladesh can come here to avail medical services apart from benefit of the citizens of Tripura.

He also assured to lend all sorts of help from the governments side in developing the Operation theatre so that high standard surgeries and treatment can be conducted.

Dr Saha further congratulated the hospital team for the successful installation.
