Sonamura Aug 27: Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress inaugurated its sub-divisional party Office at Sonamura on Saturday. Tripura in-charge of TMC Rajib Banerjee and TMC MP Sushmita Deb along with other leaders were present in the programme. After the party office inauguration, a public meeting was held at Rabindra Chowmuhani in support of TMC’s upcoming Raj Bhawan Abhiyan on August 29 next.
Without naming anyone, the TMC leaders told the supporters and local activists, there is no reason to think about who has joined and quit the party.
Later, addressing the public meeting Rajib Bhattacharjee and Sushmita Deb slammed the incumbent government on multiple issues including price rise, the issue of axed 10323 teachers, ‘uder development’ of the State and deteriorating health care services.
“In view of the prevailing situation in Tripura, we are urging the people to make the TMC stronger and build up resistance against the ruling BJP”, said Sushmita Dev.
Dev also raised the issues of ‘jobs in miss call’ and 10323 teachers. She wanted to know as to why sacked teachers were not re-appointed. Education sector in the State is in peril, there is scarcity of teachers – however, a big number of teachers is being pushed into darkness.
Rajib Banerjee also criticised the government and appealed to people to be united under the banner of TMC.
