Agartala July 11: Ending all sorts of speculations, finally, Trinamool Congress (TMC) inaugurated its state party office in Tripura on Monday.
West Bengal TMC Minister Malay Ghatak, TMC youth wing President Sayoni Ghosh, senior Trinamool Congress leaders like Rajib Banerjee, MP Susmita Dev, party's state president Subal Bhowmik along with several state Trinamool Congress leaders and activists remained present at the inaugural program held at Chittaranjan Road.
Addressing at the programme, Ghatak said, All India Trinamool Congress General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee could not remain present at the inaugural function because of busy schedule till July 21.
He added, “A huge number of party supporters are joining the Trinammol Congress and craze for the poarty has increased by leaps and bounds. Moreover, a no. of party leaders are visiting the state almost every day. Therefore the state party office is needed to build the organization".
Trinamool Congress youth wing president, Sayoni Ghosh while addressing the reporters alleged TMC leaders have to face lots of obstruction in private conversations that cannot be done sitting at private hotels. And so the party office has been set up in the capital city. Sayoni further added, All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee may soon visit Tripura to start a membership drive.
Addressing the media at the inaugural function TMC MP Susmita Dev blamed the BJP govt in the state raising allegations that because of the broken law and order situation and undemocratic environment prevailing under saffron regime it took more than 1 year to set up a party office of a National Political Party, Trinamool Congress.
On the other, State TMC president Subal Bhowmik that the inaugural function of state TMC party office is a historic moment as the long time demand of the party workers and supporters has been fulfilled. He further called upon the supporters and activists of the sttae Trinamool Congress to come forward and join the movement in uprooting the BJP from power.
