Agartala, May 15: Around 600 students of the Agartala Women College on Wednesday took part in the day-long training programme, organised by the NSS unit of the college here in the college to ensure Atmanirbharta of the students.

The NSS unit programme officer Rama Bhattacharjee said that the training camp is to impart training to the students of the college so that they can become self-reliant. She informed that around 600 students of the college took part in the training programme.

“Basically, we are imparting training of making blouses and other handmade items, which can be made out of the plastic wastes,” she said, adding that the training is being imparted to the students apart from their studies with a focus to make them self-reliant and make them socially and economically stable in their future.
