Udaipur, Oct 22. In accordance with the direction of NABARD, the company Bagma Agri Producer Company Limited (BAPCL) has been started their journey with the association of more than hundred artisans in Tripura for doing Off Firm Producer Organisation (OFPO) for the benefit of the bamboo industry in the state.   

The source has informed that NABARD has been promoting rural artisans, SHGs and FPOs for enhancing, upgrading their skills and enabling them to produce quality products. These entities need access to markets for their products to continue their activities on a sustainable basis.

It is an effort of NABARD Madhya Pradesh Regional Office has taken an initiative to organize a “UMANG 2k22” at 'Bhopal Haat' which is one of the prime premises of Government of Madhya Pradesh in Bhopal for holding such national level events.

The products under GI categories have been identified by the Madhya Pradesh Regional office where Bamboo craft has been indicated for the state of Tripura. In this connection, the NABARD Tripura Regional Office has been nominated the representatives of BAPCL at Bagma in Udaipur under Gomati District of Tripura those are preferably engaged in Bamboo craft sector under OFPO project of NABARD for participating in the exhibition cum sale at Bhopal.

The representatives of BAPCL are attending the 'Bhopal Haat' from Tripura under OFPO project scheme of NABARD, they have been informed that the bamboo products are very demanded in India and people are demanded to get the products of bamboo made by artisans in Tripura.

Sudip Majumder, MD of BAPCL has been said that they have done all the initiatives in compliance with the direction of NABARD. The GM of NABARD Loken Das has been cooperating with BAPCL in order to do the development in view of the direction of the government at large.
