Tripura BJP karyakartas remember Nishikanta Chakma on his 5th death anniversary

Tripura BJP Karyakartas on Monday remembered Janajati leader Nishikanta Chakma who had been killed in a political violence unleashed by CPI-M in 2017.
Nishikanta Chakma was one among the BJP flag-bearers who had worked dedicatedly for the party before it came to power in Tripura.
Chakma, a tribal leader of Chailengta in Dhalai district, had been murdered in a political clash in the year 2017.
On his 5th death anniversary, the BJP karyakartas in Tripura remembered the sacrifice and contributions of Chakma and paid tribute to him.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and other BJP leaders paid homage to slain Chakma.
“My humble tributes to Nishikanta Chakma on his 5th death anniversary. We will not forget his contribution,” BJP Tripura general secretary Tinku Roy said in a social media post.
Chakma among several others were left seriously injured during a political clash unleashed by the CPI-M cadres at Chailengta in Longtorai Valley sub-division on July 19, 2017. He passed away in the hospital after six days—on July 25.
