Agartala Jan 12: Along with the entire nation, Bharatiya Janata Party Tripura Pradesh also celebrated the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on Friday with due dignity.

Chief minister Dr Manik Saha, Minister Sudhangshu Roy, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee along with other party leaders and dignitaries remained offered rich tributes at the portrait of Swami Vivekananda as a mark of respect.

Addressing the occasion, chief minister Dr Manik Saha said, “The life of Swami Vivekananda inspires patriotism, spirituality and hard work. His ideals will continue to guide the countrymen especially the youth as his teachings will continue to inspire the youth to pursue their dreams and achieve their goals”.

The chief minister added, “Youths are the future of the country and only dedicated and successful youths can contribute to nation building”.

Talking about BJPs youth wing, Dr Saha said, “Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, plays an important role to promote Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government and help in achieving the targets. Therefore, each youth who are active karyakartas of the party must enrich themselves with the values of Swami Vivekananda and set an example for the society individually”.

Minister Sudhangshu Das in his address also remembered the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. He said, “A towering spiritual philosopher, credited for popularizing vedantic ideas, Swami Vivekananda was born on this day in the year 1863 which is celebrated as National Youth Day every year. His teachings are a resource to achieve success in every sphere of life”.

Das further said, “National Youth Day is a reminder that the power to change the world lies within the youth. Youth empowerment is the key to achieve Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of taking India to the position of Viswa Guru”.
