Tripura BJP protests Cong leader’s controversial remark on new President

Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday staged a massive protest in Agartala over Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury’s controversial comment against President Droupadi Murmu.
Hundreds of BJP workers led by former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb joined the protest rally in the city. After traversing through the city, they burnt effigies of the Congress leaders including Chowdhury.
Speaking to the media, Deb said the Congress leader’s disrespect to the President is dishonour to the sentiment of the countrymen and glorious history of the country.
He strongly condemned the derogatory comment of the Congress leader.
Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder, BJP general secretaries Kishore barman, Papia Dutta and others took part in the protest programme.
Meanwhile, speaking to the media at his residence in the evening, the former Chief Minister said BJP delivered different governance in every field, be it Education, Healthcare or Infrastructure.
He is confident that BJP would definitely win Agartala seat in the 2023 assembly polls. Deb said, he is hopeful that Dr. Saha would hit our target of security all sixty assembly seats in the next polls.
