Tripura CM chairs all-party meeting on flood, ICR activated for mobile network

Agartala, Aug 24: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Saturday chaired an all-party meeting at the State Guest House and discussed the flood situation caused by record rainfall.
The Chief Minister addressed the representatives of various political parties, highlighting the steps taken by the Government so far and also noted the suggestions shared by them.
The Chief Minister appealed to all political parties for concerted efforts in dealing the post-flood challenges.
BJP state president Rajin Bhattacharjee, CPM State Secretary Jitendra Chaudhuri, Congress state president Ashis Kumar Saha along with Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman, representatives of Tipra Motha and other parties were present.
The representatives assured full cooperation in the flood management.
Senior officials including Secretary P.K. Chakraborty, Secretary Brijesh Pandey, Directoe of ICA Bimbisar Bhattacharjee, District Magistrate, West Tripura- Dr. Vishal Kumar were present. They also shared valuable insights.
In the meantime, in view of the impact of flood on telecom network, , Intra Circle Roaming (ICR) has been activated in Tripura.
The facility that enables the users to use any available network will be available till August 27 next and will cover all the in-roamers from other states.
Meanwhile, the tele communication system suffered serious disruption in some places due to excessive flooding.
