Tripura CM inaugurates Kalyanpur CHC

Kalyanpur Aug 03: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the new building of Kalyanpur Hospital on Wednesday.
Chief Whip of Tripura Legislative Assembly Kalyani Roy, Local MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury and others, Health Director Radha Debbarma, Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department Debashish Basu, Chairman of Khowai Zilla Parishad Jaydev Debbarma, Vice President Hari Shankar Pal and others remained present.
The Chief Minister addressed a gathering at the Sonar Tari Mukta Mancha before inaugurating the hospital's new building. Along with the hospital building, the doctor's quarter was also inaugurated on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister in his speech said that the government is giving utmost importance to the quality improvement of hospitals. He said there are two medical colleges in the state. Talks are going on to establish a dental college. The Chief Minister said that many people think that the doctors of Kalyanpur are not good but that is not correct.
There are currently a total of 1290 doctors in the state, more doctors will be appointed as soon as possible said, CM Dr Manik Saha.
Chief Minister felicitated Jagdish Bhattacharya, the elder son of CHC's land donor Yogesh Bhattacharya during the tenure of former Chief Minister Sachin Singh.
Kalyanpur MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury delivered the welcome address on the occasion. He said there was not even a guest house in Kalyanpur during the long left rule. Kalyanpur Block Chairman Somen Gope presided over Wednesday's event. The speakers said that the people of Kalyanpur were freed from the dilapidated form of the health system of Kalyanpur. This community health center will start its journey with a total of five doctors.
The new hospital building will have six OPDs besides an isolation ward. There will be separate male and female wards with X-ray, lab room.
