Tripura CM inaugurates photography exhibition

Agartala, Aug 19: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Monday inaugurated a photography exhibition at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan, Agartala.
Themed as "Akal Bodhan," or the "Untimely Awakening of Maa Durga", the photography exhibition was organized by the Tripura Photo Journalists' Association and sponsored by Techno India University, Tripura on the occasion of World Photography Day.
The Chief Minister extended his greetings to all photographers involved in this endeavor. He commented on social media, "photography is reflection of life".
During the event, the Chief Minister paid tribute to late photographers- Debashish Barua and Sushanta Das by offering floral wreaths at their portraits.
He also took a tour of the exhibition, viewing the photographs and collections of vintage cameras. He also gave a shot to the camera on this occasion.
Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder, vice-chancellor of Techno India University, Tripura, Dr. Ratan Kumar Saha, president of Agartala Press Club Jayanta Bhattacharya, secretary Ramakanta Dey, president of the Tripura Photo Journalists' Association Pralayjit Pal and secretary Abhishek Saha were present.
The exhibition featuring 76 photographs on the theme "Akal Bodhan" captured by photojournalists from across the state will remain open to the public daily from 111 am to 9 pm till August 21, 2024.
