Tripura CM launches special health drive MSSSKA 4.0

Agartala, Mar 17: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha launched a special health drive- Mukhyamantri Susthyo Shoishab Susthyo Koishor Abhiyan (MSSSKA) 4.0 at Sabroom on Saturday.
The campaign would continue across the state in two phases—March 20 to 23 in the first phase and March 24 to March 28 in the second phase.
All the schools, colleges, Anganwadi Centres and technical institutions would be covered in the first phase while the drive would be carried out in brick kilns, tea gardens and slum areas and door-to-door visits would be conducted in the second phase, the NHM mission director told reporters.
Under this programme, 11.08 lakh target population (1-19 years) would be administered de-worming tablets, 2.40 lakh target population (9 months to 5 years) would be given Vitamin-A supplementation, 4.13 lakh target population (10-19 years) would be given Iron Folic Acid tablets, 2.92 lakh children (0-5 years) would be covered under Integrated Diarrhoea Control programme and 3.01 lakh children (0-6 years) would be covered under nutrition programme.
Besides, 16,595 children (10-11 years) and 40,723 teens (16-17 years) would be given TD-10 and TD-16 (Tetanus and Diphtheria) vaccines, he added.
Health Secretary Dr. Debashis Basu, NHM Tripura Mission director Subhashis Das, State Immunization Officer Dr. Mousumi Sarkar and other dignitaries were present in the programme.
The Chief Minister and other officials sought cooperation from all for implementing the special health campaign.
