Tripura CM meets Vice President-elect Jagdeep Dhankhar

Agartala, Aug 07: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha called on Vice President of India-elect Jagdeep Dhankhar in New Delhi on Sunday.
The Chief Minister extended his greetings to Dhankar for being elected as the 14th Vice President of India.
“Congratulated to Kisan Putra Respected Vice-President elect Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar Ji on being elected India’s 14th Vice President with resounding support across party lines. I am confident nation will immensely benefit from his vast legal knowledge and experience,” Dr. Saha tweeted.
Meanwhile, the Tripura Chief Minister also met Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and BJP national secretary Sunil Deodhar in the national capital.
Dr. Saha tweeted that in his meeting with the Assam Chief Minister, he discussed various organizational matters as well as the ties between the two states- Tripura and Assam for ensuring a comprehensive development of the North-East region.
“Happy to meet Hon'ble CM of Tripura Prof @DrManikSaha2 ji at Assam House, Delhi. Assam & Tripura have always shared amicable ties. Had a meaningful conversation on areas of mutual interests, including ways to strengthen our party,” the Assam Chief Minister tweeted.
Dr. Saha, who went to Delhi on August 5 last to attend the 7th Governing Council meeting of NITI aayog held at cultural hall of Rastrapati Bhavan on Sunday, also met BJP national general secretary Sunil Deodhar at the latter’s residence. The duo reported to have discussed various organizational party matters.
