Tripura Congress pays tribute to Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya on his 116th birth anniv

Agartala Aug 19: Tripura Pradesh Congress on Monday paid rich tributes to Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya amidst a small program at the Pradesh Congress headquarters in the capital city, commemorating his 116th birth anniversary.
Pradesh Congress president Asish Kumar Saha along with other Congress leaders and supporters garlanded the portrait of the Maharaja and paid floral tributes.
Speaking on the occasion, the TPCC president hailed Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur for his contributions towards the state.
He said, “The modern architect of Tripura, he was a great king of the royal dynasty who took several initiatives in development of the state including education, culture and development of infrastructure”.
“He also built a hospital, so that the people of the state could avail health services properly. The people of the state will never forget the contribution of the Maharaja”, said Saha.
Mentioning that Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya acted as a bridge to bring people together. He said, “today is a historic day”.
