Agartala Nov 07: Tripura unit of CPIM observed and recalled November revolution, one of the greatest achievements of communist history on Saturday across the State.
Justifying the war against capitalism as a right of the working class, the party leaders and members hoisted the party flag at the Dasarath Deb Smriti Bhavan, in the capital city on the occasion of 106th November Revolution Day.
CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Choudhury along with other senior leaders of the party remained present on the occasion.
November Revolution Day marks the insurrection of leftist revolutionaries led by Bolshevik Party leader Vladimir Lenin on November 7, 1917 in Russia.
The insurrection toppled a provisional government to transfer all powers to the soviets or workers’ councils, building the base for the Soviet Union.
A procession was also taken out by the CPI-M from the Krishnanagar Junu Das Bhavan in Agartala to commemorate the day of Great November Revolution.
Terming the rally as “Maha Michil” the party leaders lambasted the state and central BJP government. They alleged that the government has failed to fulfill its pre-poll promises.
“CPI-M is holding agitations across the state protesting against the anti-people policies and failures of the ruling BJP”, said the leaders.
The party further called upon the people to come forward in protest and oust the BJP from power.
