Tripura Governor advocates for Sustainable Practices on World Environment Day

In a significant move towards environmental sustainability, Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu led a tree plantation program at Raj Bhavan, marking the occasion of World Environment Day- 2025. 

The initiative underscored the importance of ecological preservation and encouraged collective efforts to maintain the state’s abundant greenery.

Addressing the people of Tripura, the Governor emphasized that Tripura is a state rich in natural beauty, and its verdant landscapes must be safeguarded for future generations. 

He firmly stated that conservation cannot be achieved merely through words or propaganda— it requires concrete implementation and collective responsibility.

On this global day dedicated to environmental awareness, the Governor urged citizens to take a pledge to eliminate single-use plastic, an environmental menace that poses serious threats to ecosystems and biodiversity. 

He encouraged people to actively engage in afforestation by planting trees in their surroundings, reinforcing the idea that small individual efforts contribute to a larger movement of ecological restoration.

The event at Raj Bhavan symbolized a commitment to greener practices and highlighted the necessity of community involvement in environmental preservation.
