Tripura Governor reviews development works in Khowai district

Agartala/ Khowai, Feb 19: Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Monday visited the Khowai district and interacted with the district officials to know the present status of the on-going developmental works.
The Governor chaired a meeting with the District Magistrate, Khowai Chandni Chandran, ADM Keshab Kar and other officials including police officers here in Khowai Duk Bungalow.
After the meeting, the Governor said that he was apprised of the on-going developmental works in the district.
He said, “As you know that the Central government took much interest in uplifting the poor and downtrodden people. I came here to check the developmental programmes. I am very glad to know about the project work of the district regarding eradication of the child marriage.”
The Governor received guard of honour from the Khowai police at the District Magistrate's office and later he planted trees in the office premise.
He also visited Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Ramchandraghat and addressed the students, teachers and others present there. The Governor then visited Eklavya Model Residential School at Tulashikar. He is scheduled for a night stay in Khowai on Monday and visiting various bordering areas the next morning.
