Tripura Governor visits Srinagar Border Haat

Agartala, July 09: Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu visited the Srinagar Border Haat at Sabroom on Tuesday.
It was the Governor's first visit to the Border Haat, which was specially prepared for the occasion. The Governor was greeted with a "Guard of Honour" by the 109th-Bn BSF.
The Governor inspected the haat and interacted with the traders, including fish vendors, dry fish sellers, and local vegetable merchants.
He also spoke with the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Feni district in Bangladesh. Expressing satisfaction with the arrangements, the Governor praised the management of the Border Haat.
Later speaking to the media, the Governor lauded the beauty and cleanliness of the haat. He wished for its continued success and emphasized the importance of strengthening mutual relationships between the people of both countries.
Addressing concerns about damaged barbed wire fencing in some parts, the Governor assured that he would take up the matter.
The Srinagar Border Haat was inaugurated on January 13, 2015, to promote trade and strengthen cross-border ties.
Security was beefed up in the region ahead of the Governor's visit, with special precautions taken by both the local police administration and the BSF to ensure his safety.
