Tripura Governor visits state's iconic tourist destination Neermahal

Agartala, July 01: Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Monday visited Neermahal, one of the most important tourist destinations in the state.
District Magistrate, Sepahijala- Nagesh Kumar B welcomed the Governor in presence of other officials. The district police accorded him a guard of honor before he proceeded to Neermahal.
The Governor spoke to the media about plans to boost tourism in Neermahal. He emphasized the government's commitment to preserving the site's beauty and maintaining cleanliness, particularly by addressing the issue of water hyacinths in the lake.
The Governor highlighted the government's intention to quickly resume the light and sound show at Neermahal, which had been a popular attraction, and to take measures to enhance the attraction for young tourists.
He discussed on various initiatives aimed at making Neermahal a more attractive destination for visitors.
The Water Palace, built by Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya in 1930, stands as a splendid testament to the architectural brilliance of the erstwhile royal family of Tripura.
