Tripura Govt decides to open 240 new Anganwadi Centres

Agartala, July 13: The state government decided to open 240 new Anganwadi Centres across the state, said Education minister Ratanlal Nath.
He said, the decision was taken by the council of ministers on July 12 last.
The Anganwadi Centres would function under Integrated Child Development Project of Social Welfare and Social Education department, he said in a press conference on Thursday.
As per the decision, 22 new Anganwadi Centres would be set up at the places of Bru rehabilitation, 31 would be opened at West Tripura district, Khowai and South Tripura district each, 37 at Gomati district, 27 at Dhalai district, 25 at Sepahijala, 22 at Unakoti and 14 Anganwadi Centres would be set up at North Tripura district, Nath told the reporters.
Nath said, at present 9911 Anganwadi Centres are functioning in the state.
