Agartala July 14: As a token of respect and courtesy, Tripura government has sent 600 pineapples of queen variety in 100 cartoons to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Speaking to the reporters, Dr Dipak Baidya Assistant Director, Tripura Horticulture Department said, “The goodwill gesture by the Tripura government towards Bangladesh and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will further cement the friendship and long standing ties between the two nations”.

The consignment was handed over to the officials of Bangladesh Horticulture Department at Akhaura Integrated Check Post(ICP)  on Thursday.
