Agartala Sept 08: The Tripura Gramin Bank Retired Staff Association on Sunday held its fifth bi-annual conference at the Student Health Home on Jagannath Bari Road.
The event was inaugurated by Panna Lal Dutta, a renowned artist from the state and a retired employee of Tripura Gramin Bank.
The conference saw Ganapati Hegdre, General Secretary of NFRRBS, as the Chief Guest. The Chief Speaker for the event was Abdul Saeed Khan, General Secretary of NFRRB. Apart from that, Jibesh Chakraborty, General Secretary of NFRRBF remained present as the special guest.
The conference was also attended by the retired bank staff from different parts of the state, highlighting the collaborative spirit and shared goals of the banking community.
Talking to the reporters, general secretary of TGBRSA said, “At the end of the conference, a new committee has been formed and goals have been set. The association and its members will work to fulfil them for the overall interests of the retired employees”.
“After a long fight, our pension related issues have finally been solved. Now, among other demands, our most important demand is to form Rural Bank of India by combining all the Gramin Banks in the state”, he added.
