Agartala Nov 20: In a joint operation led by police of PR Bari police station, 69 Battalion BSF and Rajnagar forest department personnel more than six thousand premature cannabis saplings were destroyed on Monday.

Speaking in this context, OC PR Bari police station Ratan Rabi Das said, “The operation was conducted after receiving specific information from secret sources. It continued for more than two hours where illegal ganja plants were first destroyed and later set fire in Ghosh Khamar area in Lake Para”.

Although no one has been arrested in connection with the anti- narcotics operation, police officials assured to continue similar expedition in coming days.
