Agartala Jan 30: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma accompanied his Tripura counterpart Dr Manik Saha as he filed the nomination papers for contesting the assembly elections from 8-Town Bordowali assembly constituency here on Monday.
The incumbent chief minister submitted the nomination papers before returning officer backed by a grand colouful rally including BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder and large number of party activists and supporters.
Taking to the reporters chief minister Dr Manik Saha said, “Face is the index of mind”.
“I have been receiving massive response from people across the state including my own assembly constituency Bordowali. People are greeting me with a smile of satisfaction as I’m reaching out to their doorstep”, he said.
Dr Saha further added that BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes in doing work for the development of masses and if voted to power, Tripura will reach further new heights of development.
Meanwhile Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “2018s fight was in a situation of fear and 2023s fight will be in a peaceful atmosphere”.
Commenting on the Left-Congress alliance, Sarma said, “It is not at all amatter of concern. CPIM is Zero in entire world and the Congress is also a Zro in entire India. Zero+ Zero = 0”.
Claiming that the BJP will do far better results compared to 2018, the Assam chief minister said, “People will cast their votes seeing the face of Dr Manik Saha, seeing the development and the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi”.
“BJP doesn’t has any Donation/extortion card but only development card”, he added.
On the last day of filing nomination papers, all the BJP nominees for 55 assembly constituencies across Tripura submitted their nomination papers with pomp and gaiety show.
