Tripura polls: Postal ballot voting begins

Agartala, Feb 08: Postal ballot voting for assembly polls has commenced across Tripura on Wednesday.
Polling and security personnel, drivers of the vehicles to be used for elections and other staff associated with emergency services are casting votes in ballot papers.
In Sadar sub-division, the postal ballot voting of eight constituencies has started at Shishu Bihar School.
Chief Electoral Officer of Tripura Kiran Gitte, West Tripura District Magistrate Debapriya Bardhan, SP West Tripura Shankar Debnath and others visited Shishu Bihar School and inspected the voting process.
Speaking to the media, the CEO said, postal ballot voting would continue in 21 centres across Tripura for the next five days.
Around 40,000 employees engaged in the election works applied in Form-12 for the postal ballot voting, he said.
