Agartala Jan 29: Sticking to its statement of fighting the polls ‘On Own’ and without any alliance with any political party, Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman led TIPRA Motha on Sunday announced its first list of 20 candidates.

The list includes Brishaketu Debbarma who left the BJP-IPFT alliance and joined TIPRA Motha to fight from Simna assembly constituency, Animesh Debbarma Deputy CEM, TTAADC to contest from Asharambari seat where the BJP placed late minister N C Debbarma’s daughter Jayanti Debbarma to fight on behalf of IPFT.

Besides, CEM TTAADC Purna Chandra Jamatia will be contesting from Bagma constituency.

According to information from sources, as announced earlier by TIPRA Motha Chairman Pradyot Kishore Deb Barma, the Motha will contest in at least 40 seats in the ensuing polls owing to which the second list of candidates will be announced within Sunday evening.
