Tripura sees huge development under BJP rule: Rajnath

Agartala, Feb 08: Tripura witnessed an unprecedented development under the BJP rule, said Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

The Union Minister along with Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha participated in two election rallies at Barjala constituency in West Tripura and Rajnagar in South Tripura on Tuesday.

Addressing the election rally at Barjala constituency, the Union Minister appreciated both the former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and incumbent Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha for delivering good governance to the people of Tripura.

He expressed hope that based on the development works done by the double engine government, the BJP would win the ensuing elections with seats more than 2018.

The rally was held in support of BJP-nominated candidate from Barjala Dr. Dilip Das. The BJP candidate of Bamutia Krishnadhan Das was also present.

Meanwhile, rejecting the Congress- Communist alliance, two Congress leaders- Dilip Kumar Ghosh and Sushil Roy joined the Bharatiya Janata Party during the election rally.

He appealed to the people to vote for BJP in the ensuing Assembly elections for continuation of the good governance.

Meanwhile, the Union Minister along with the Chief Minister joined Vijay Sankalp rally at Rajnagar in South Tripura.
