Tripura students returned from Manipur meet CM

Agartala, May 07: A group of students, who safely returned Tripura from violence-hit Manipur, along with their guardians held a courtesy meeting with Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha at his official residence this evening.
The students thanked the Chief Minister for his sincere initiatives in arranging special flights for their safe return from Manipur. The guardians also expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for his prompt response in this matter.
“It was beyond our imagination that the Chief Minister would act so fast to bring our children back home. We were very much worried. We are really grateful to the state government, specially to the Chief Minister for his sincere initiative,” a guardian said.
Arranging special flights, ensuring safety of the students in other state and coordinating them for returning home within a short period was not such an easy task bnt the state government conducted the process very smoothly.
Meanwhile, two special flights carrying around 208 Tripura's students, who were stranded in Manipur, landed at Maharaja Bir Bikram airport, Agartala in the past 24 hours, bringing a huge respite among the worried guardians.
