Agartala July 13: In the state of Tripura, where Covid infections are increasing rapidly, Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress in-charge Rajeev Banerjee on Wednesday distributed masks among the common people in Khayerpur area and advised people to comply with the Covid protocols.

Speaking in this context, Rajeev Banerjee said, "There is huge gathering centering the traditional Kharchi festival of Tripura, but everyone has to keep in mind about the 4^th wave of Covid and therefore people have to be careful and aware. The government has taken the initiative to make masks mandatory for everyone, we welcome it, but coming to the fair a different scenario could be seen”.

Rajiv Banerjee added the state government and the administration must be more responsible and create awareness among the denizens to comply with the covid guidelines.
