Agartala April 18: Royal Durga Bari Tripura on Thursday observed Dashami of goddess Durga on the eve of Basanti Durga Puja amidst due rituals.

Unlike Durga Puja during the month of October, Basanti Puja of goddess Durga started by Tripura's erstwhile royal family 5000 years back still remains a major attraction for its age-old customs in the entire north-eastern region.

After offerings to the deity for 4 long days starting from the Sasthi Pujan, Dashami ritual were observed on this day with due rituals.

The deity was immersed at Dashamighat following a huge number of devotees while maintaining all the rituals of the royal Durga Bari temple, Agartala.
