Agartala Sept 13: Aiming towards enhanced customer service, the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) has taken over the responsibilities of power services that were previously managed by a private company, FEDCO.
This transition, effective from September 13, 2024 11:00 am onwards, is expected to make the electricity service more people-oriented and efficient.
Until now, FEDCO was responsible for handling customer service and bill collection in several areas under TSECL. This include Ambasa, Gandacherra, Chamanu, and Manu sub-divisions of the Dhalai circle, Mohanpur, Hejamara, Bamutia, and Lefunga sub-divisions under Agartala Circle No. 2; and Sabroom and Satchand sub-divisions of the South Tripura circle.
However, due to continuous customer complaints, allegations of disrupted power services, the state government and TSECL has decided to assume these responsibilities to improve service delivery.
From now on, TSECL will manage all customer service matters and bill collection in these regions.
Copmmiting the citizens of providing prompt and efficient service to all its customers, the TSECL has urged all electricity consumers to refrain from any transactions, bill deposits, or official connections with FEDCO from Friday onwards.
