Agartala, Mar 12: Nutritional Biochemistry and Toxicology Laboratory of the Human Physiology Department, Tripura University, in collaboration with the Women’s Studies Centre, organized a mega health camp at Ishan Chandra Nagar Community Hall on Wednesday.

Dr. Sukomal Sarkar (MS Ortho, AGMC), along with Dr. Ram Kumar and Dr. Parmesh, administered the health camp. 

During the health camp, villagers underwent tests for blood pressure, blood sugar, Bone Mineral Density (BMD), lipid profile and calcium levels.

The organisers offered free medicines to the patients. Around 150 underprivileged villagers from Ashwini Market benefited from the camp.

Dr. Sukomal Sarkar, Dr. Sudipta Pal and Prof. Sharmistha Bhattacharya inaugurated the event in the presence of the Ishan Chandra Nagar panchayat pradhan and members. 

Organisers emphasized the importance of early detection and treatment of bone-related issues.
