Two arrested with 36 kg cannabis at Jogendranagar R’ly Station

Agartala March 25: Acting on a tip-off, the East Agartala police station, in collaboration with College Tilla police, successfully apprehended two individuals in possession of a substantial quantity of dry ganja. The arrest took place on Monday at the capital's Jogendranagar railway station.
The accused, identified as Rupesh Kumar and Khushbu Devi, were found with 36 kilograms of dry ganja during the raid. In addition to the contraband, two mobile phones and cash amounting to Rs 3,000 were also seized from their possession.
Police authorities suspect that the arrested individuals are part of a larger network involved in drug trafficking.
A case has been registered against the duo under the NDPS Act, and a detailed investigation has been initiated to uncover others connected to this illegal operation.
