Agartala, July 15: The Vivekananda Bichar Mancha (VBM) thanked the Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha for approving the long pending rationalization fund and experience bonus for eligible National Health Mission (NHM) employees in Tripura.
Addressing a press conference here at Agartala Press Club on Friday the VBM general secretary Tapan Das said, “Ending the long deprivation of the NHM employees, the present Chief Minister has approved rationalization fund and experience bonus for the NHM employees in Tripura.”
“We thank the Chief Minister for the initiative of granting the pending bonus for the NHM employees,” Das said, adding that the VBM earlier approached the former Chief Minister and even Dr. Manik Saha with the demand for the bonus. In view of this the present Chief Minister took the initiative of releasing the bonus for the employees, he claimed.
He said, “The Chief Minister also assured us of releasing DA for the employees of the state before the Durga Puja festival. Currently we have 31% pending DA, out of which we were expecting that as the Chief Minister assured us, the employees will soon get a big bonanza before the puja.”
He however expressed concern over the 3% DA released after the formation of the BJP government and said, “Out of the pending 35% DA, the employees received only 3% DA whereas we expected that the entire pending DA would be released.”
On the other hand, the VBM general secretary thanked the government for taking the initiative of promoting at least 263 Anganwadi workers to ICDS supervisors. He slammed the previous Left front government and alleged that during the time of 25-years rule of the Left government, not even 25 Anganwadi workers were promoted to the supervisor posts despite having their experience.
