Charilam, July 09: Forest department personnel of Charilam seized a vehicle loaded with wooden logs from Durganagar Bazaar on the basis of specific information.

The loaded vehicle was later brought to the Charilam Forest Department Office.

Briefing about the expedition, Charilam Forest Department in-charge Sukanta Das said the market value of seized timber is around Rs 1.5 lakh.

However, the driver of the seized vehicle eloped from the spot and could not be arrested.
